Year 9 Visit to the IBC Skills Show 2026鈥�
On Wednesday 17th June 2026, our Year 9 students attended the IBC Skills Show at Dunstall Park Racecourse, Wolverhampton. The visit formed an important part of our careers programme, giving students the chance to explore the wide range of opportunities available to them after school.鈥�
Throughout the day, students met with employers, training providers, and colleges from across the region. They learned about different career pathways, including apprenticeships, vocational courses, and technical routes, while gaining insight into industries such as construction, engineering, health, and digital technologies.鈥�
A key highlight of the event was the opportunity to take part in hands-on activities, allowing students to experience real-world skills and better understand what different jobs involve. This helped to build confidence and encouraged students to ask questions about their future options.鈥�
The trip supported students as they begin to consider their Key Stage 4 choices and longer-term career aspirations. Our Year 9 cohort represented the school extremely well, showing enthusiasm, curiosity, and maturity throughout the visit.鈥�
